GAIA Boulderhalle is a bouldering gym in Marburg, Wehrda. It offers an indoor bouldering area of 900 sqm, a 200 sqm outdoor bouldering area, a separate kids area and a cafe.

What is Bouldering?

Bouldering is a form of climbing. Boulder routes, commonly referred to as Boulder „Problems“ ,are up to a maximum of 4,50 m. Instead of using a rope, a Boulderers fall is protected by thick safety mats bellow the climbing walls. The Boulderer uses their creativity and body feeling to find a way to the top of a chosen Boulder „Problem“.
The process is excellent training for muscular strength, move- ment finesse and flexibility. In addition, Bouldering is a process of puzzling out, whilst you try and find the best way to get to the top of a Boulder „Problem“. This can be done alone or together with others.
Six different difficulty levels are an invitation for beginners and experienced climbers alike, so that everyone has a chance to train and explore the Boulder sport at their own pace. Getting started is easy. The only required equipment is comfy clothing and climbing shoes. If you don’t have your own climbing shoes, you can rent some from us.
